ADULT CHILDREN OF DIVORCE
For young adults 25-39
This group provides guided insight and peer support regarding relationship skill building, identity development and individuation from parents. Our focus is on breaking the cycle of divorce, management of fear and building trust and intimacy, as well as identifying the pitfalls (red flags) in new relationships.

SINGLE PARENT COACHING
This group will explore the changes that occur in re-organizing a family, the impact both on the single parent and the child(ren). Individuals will be able to gain emotional support from others going through similar transitions and learn options and tools that work for other parents.

The emphasis of this group is on keeping children out of the middle of conflict between you and your ex-spouse. The group focuses on how to cope with the reality of your children’s two households, including different rules and value systems.

LIFE THROUGH DIVORCE AND BEYOND
This group will help you process this overwhelming transition by sharing stories with others who also search to get beyond this crazy time Support is critical when you feel you like the chaos of the divorce will never end. The group is interactive and is a constructive way to examine this major life transition.

BLENDED FAMILIES—STEPMOMS AND STEPDADS
Blended families are the majority kind of family in the United States and require patience, knowledge and hard work. Blended families are different from a nuclear family, with complicated boundary issues and lack of a shared history. Stepparents struggle to develop their own new roles and these roles must be considered by every member of the new family. This group will give you an opportunity to hear others who may be struggling with similar issues. Couples are encouraged, but not required.

UNLUCKY IN LOVE- Getting scared to try again
This group is for those who feel as if they had no choice in ending a significant relationship. The fear of beginning a new relationship and repeating the same mistake terrifies many people. Without insight, people repeat the same patterns over and over again. This group will foster personal growth to enable you to trust yourself to make better choices.

All groups are interactive and are a powerful venue for creating growth and change. All groups are held weekly and are limited to 12 people. To sign up or for more information, email Linda Gordon, M.Ed., LCSW-C at GORDO96@AOL.COM or Roberta Eisen, M.Ed., LPC at Roberta@RobertaEisen.com or call 202-822-5229.
